Qualifications
Applicants should satisfy the following requirements.
- A high school (secondary school) diploma
- GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (3.0 on a 5.0 scale)
- One of the following test scores:
- TOEFL: 550(PBT), 213(CBT), 80(iBT)
- IELTS: 6.0
- TOEIC: 750

Fees and Costs
The costs associated with studying abroad can be quite high.
Students must make arrangements to cover the following costs:

Fees before Enrollment
Application Fee
All applicants must pay the application fee at the time they submit their application documents to NUCB. All applicants should make sure to include the bank receipt or other proof of payment of the fee into the application package. Please see the Application Form for more details.
If you are accepted to study at NUCB, the following fees must be paid to enroll.
Application Fee : JPY 35,000 (Non-refundable)
Admissions Fee
If your application to study at NUCB is successful, then you will be asked to pay an "Admissions Fee" to hold your seat. Payment must be made before enrollment.
Admission Fee : JPY 270,000 (Non-refundable)
Fees after Enrollment
Tuition Fee Installments
Tuitions Fees are paid in interim term. You will be asked to pay an initial Tuition Fee Installment before the start of your first semester classes. This first installment of the tuition fee will be written on an Invoice which will be sent with your Notification of Acceptance.
Tuition 2010-2011 : JPY 1,124,000
Living Expenses
Living Expenses include housing, food, utilities, transportation, textbook (approximately JPY 50,000), and entertainment expenses. The estimated cost of living in Nagoya for one year is approximately JPY 1440,000 or about US＄14,500 ( 120,000 JPY/mon.)
These costs may differ slightly depending on your place of residence or living expenses of yourself.

NUCB offers scholarships in the form of tuition fee remissions to applicants selected based on application materials and interview.
