Profile

Dr. Hiroshi Ito is a Professor in Economics at the Nagoya University of Commerce and Business (NUCB). Before coming to NUCB, he had worked as an education expert for UNESCO in Paris, France. He also worked for UNICEF (the Philippines), JICA (Ecuador & Paraguay), an educational NGO (Guatemala), and an educational service company (USA). His research interests lie in Pedagogy, Educational Assessment, Environmental Policy, and NPO Marketing Strategy.

Dr. Ito received his M.A. from Teachers College, Columbia University, Ph. D. from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), MBA from Universite Paris I Pantheon-Sorbonne. He is fluent in Japanese, English, and Spanish, and is currently learning French.

成城大学文芸学部英文学科卒業。コロンビア大学教育大学院修士課程及びカリフォルニア大学ロサンゼルス校教育大学院士課程修了。パリ第一大学パンテオン/ソルボンヌ校経営大学院修士課程修了。教育サービス会社(米国)、NGO(グアテマラ)、青年海外協力隊(パラグアイ)、国連児童基金(フィリピン)、国連教育科学文化機関(フランス)等を経て現在、名古屋商科大学経済学部教授。専門は教育方法、教育評価、環境政策、NPOマーケティング戦略。
