We are going to build the new Marunouchi Campus in the central area of Nagoya city as one of many projects to commemorate 60 years since the establishment of the school. The new building will be composed of three levels: The lower level will accommodate common space such as a library and cafeteria, the middle level will have modern and updated classrooms designed in cooperation with the Harvard Business School and IMD in Switzland, and the upper level will enable companies to use the space for human resource education.
In addition to the current educational project, the new Marunouchi Campus has the following new plans for human resource development.
Company-Oriented Program
One program, called “Business Workshop in the Darkness”, is communication training conducted in cooperation with with those who have impaired vision. The program allows non vision-impaired participants to experience the fact that our remarks are too often influenced by stereotypes to tell the essence of facts. By allowing participants to experience what we are not all aware of in our daily lives, the program aims to enhance the leadership and communication skill that are useful in the real business environment.
Employee-Oriented Programs
We are beginning the “MOT(Management of Technology)Program”, conducted as 1st in Chubu area, in which successful cases of small and medium enterprises are profiled, in order to enhance the international competitive ability of the manufacturing industry in Chubu-area. Also, the Family Business Program will be launched to enhance human resource education in Chubu area of Japan. This program focuses on business issues inherited by small and medium enterprises, a group with includes more than 90 percent of Japanese companies today.
Programs opened to the public
We will regularly hold business classes that are opened to the public. Well-known people from the financial and business sectors will be invited. Each class will go beyond the areas normally covered on TV and in the newspapers, and the new topics in economics and management will be thoroughly explained and discussed.
