Here are answers to some Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: What is Open Campus?
A: Open Campus is an opportunity for students and the community to visit the main campus of Nagoya University of Commerce & Business, located in Nisshin City, Aichi-prefecture. Visitors will have an opportunity to attend a variety of workshops about acadstrongic programs, admissions, financial aid, housing, as well as a chance to take a campus tour.
Q: What are the upcoming dates for Open Campus for 2009?
A: The 2010/2011 schedule will be announced in mid-March 2010.
Q: Who can attend the Open Campus?
A: Anyone. Students, families, and community members are welcome.
Q: I am unsure of whether or not to apply to NUCB. Should I still go to the open campus?
A: Definitely. Open Campus is an opportunity for prospective students and their families to meet the faculty, staff, administrators and other students as well as see if NUCB fits their educational needs.
Q: Can I turn in my transcripts and test scores at Open Campus?
A: Yes. Students may turn in documentation at the Admissions table.
Q: If I can't attend this event, is there another time I can visit?
A: Yes! NUCB welcomes all visitors. Campus tours are offered Monday through Friday at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and on the first Saturday of every month at 12:00 p.m. Tours leave from the Recruitment Office in the Administration Building. Please contact the Undergraduate Admissions Office to make a reservation. The extension is 22348.
Q: If I am traveling from outside of the area, where can I stay during the weekend?
A: NUCB cannot provide housing for this event, but we can make arrangements with downtown Nagoya hotels that offer specially reduced overnight stay rates. Please contact the Undergraduate Admissions Office for assistance. The extension is 22348.
Q: What are some of the topics offered for "mock" lessons during Open Campus?
A: We try to offer fresh and innovative demonstration lessons for prospective students. Some past lessons have been:
