Last week we held our info session for international students only.

This was a perfect opportunity for prospective students to find out more about our university, speak to current international students and experience live classes.

We had students come all the way from Tokyo and many different nationalities - Taiwan, China, Vietnam, Mongolia, Sri Lanka!

The students had many questions for us including scholarship availability, dormitory options, part-time work, studying in English etc.

CAMPUS TOUR

Although 1.5 times the size of Tokyo Disneyland we gave the students a complete tour of our university.

This included learning more about our classrooms and how they are designed to focus on student participation and group work as well as our library and our state-of-the-art equipment that facilitates self-learning.

NUCB PRESENTATIONS

We gave the students a detailed presentation on why we are ranked the top 5% of business schools worldwide.

We then talked about how our accreditations are beneficial for their future career and what we expect from our students - Global mindset, Undertake fieldwork, English ability, and an Understanding of diversity.

We then invited staff that oversees study abroad options and career consultations and finished with application procedure and 1-2-1 consultation for any questions students had.

CLASS VISITS

During the infosession we visited two classes so students could experience for themselves life at NUCB.

The first class we visited was Advanced Japanese Communication in Multicultural Contexts. This was perfect for students to realize the Japanese level required at our university.

We then visited a Marketing class where students could understand our active learning method with students actively participating to discuss the case study on UNIQLO and ZARA.

What our prospective students found most interesting about our infosession was the opportunity to talk with current international students.

They talked about the options for scholarships at NUCB, finding part-time work, studying English, dormitory options and the entrance exam.

We hope that the students got a real sense of life at NUCB and why we are renowned as an international friendly university.
