Case Method Virtual Experience Days - Local Government Environmental Law
- 〜 14:00〜15:00 GMT+9
The “Ban on Single-Use Plastic Products Act was recently enacted by the Philippine government in 2019 in response to problems implementing local government laws under the previous Ecological Solid Waste Management Act 2000. It seeks to ban single-use products (including grocery bags, food packaging and containers, straws, cups, and water bottles) to encourage manufacturers and consumers to use more sustainable and environmental- friendly products. In this case we examine the need for a coordinated approach involving local and national laws and other business and social practices to reduce the environmentally damaging use of plastics.
