Why did you choose Japan to further your studies?

The reason why I chose to do my higher education in Japan is that I am completely in awe of the Japanese culture. The cherry blossom trees, ramen bowls, fireworks festivals, folklore, and of course anime were the predominant factors that drew me to this fascinating country.

Japan is one of the leading nations in the way it does its business and the increasing numbers of Japanese multinationals in my home country, India made me realize how much of an impact they were having on the rest of the world. As a student whose dream is to become a successful entrepreneur one day, choosing Japan was a no-brainer.

Why did you choose NUCB?

When I first discovered NUCB, what I found most interesting was the Case Study method of learning. This was quite unlike anything I had heard of before because in India most university lessons were taught through lectures.

I felt that the Case Method would really help me improve my public speaking and decision-making skills, which will be useful once I step out into the world of business. The case studies of real-life business situations, greatly stimulate thinking in a business way. Apart from this, the fact that NUCB offers a GBBA program entirely in English was also a major reason why I decided to apply to the university.

Did you find the adjustment easy from High School?

I found the transition from high school to university quite easy because my professors and new friends are always ready to guide me at every step of the way.

Having done the IB proved to be really beneficial in making this transition smoother, as I believe that making college-level reports, would have been a hard task if I was not already used to writing them. Everyone at NUCB including the staff as well as my seniors have helped me settle in quickly which I am extremely grateful to them.
