Overnight Boarding Experience - June Open Campus Special Event

Dates: June 8th-June 9th

This short-term program is designed to offer high school students an immersive preview of university life and acquaint them with NUCB's distinctive teaching method: Active Learning. Featuring a welcome party and cultural exchange session (first day), and an orientation session, case method demo class, and campus tour (second day), the experience promises to be both insightful and engaging. We look forward to welcoming prospective students considering enrollment in our program and those who wish to experience learning at NUCB. Students can choose to stay alone or together with their family!

Eligibility

  • High school students and their families.
  • Students will require sufficient English skills to participate in the demo lesson.

Application Period

Application Start Date: Tuesday, May 7, 2024
Application End Date: Friday, May 31, 2024

We will contact you by e-mail within a few days of your application, and provide more details on payment, optional pick-up service, etc.

Activities

Day 1

  • Pick up from local train station (optional)
  • Welcome Party / Cultural Exchange (dinner included)
  • International Boarding Experience (at NIC's International House)

Day 2:

  • Breakfast included
  • Orientation Session
  • Harvard-style Case Method experience (Demo class)
  • Campus Tour
  • Lunch (available for ¥500~)
  • Dormitory tour (Depending on room availability, we might visit Sanbongi, Sanbongi Campus or Meito dormitory)

Demo Class Overview

Join us for an engaging demo lesson with Prof. Frendy! Participants will collaborate in groups to craft a festival stand concept for the upcoming NUCB's Sagamine Festival. Through this interactive exercise, we'll delve into fundamental accounting principles, using their stand proposals as real-world examples. Parents are welcome to join and observe the class.
