NUCB Student Publications Club

The official name of our club is the “NUCB Student Publications Club”, where we create content about Nagoya and NUCB life on social media! To make it memorable and approachable for students, we call ourselves “がくSAY!” as a nickname. It is a blend of the Japanese word for student, "がく" (gaku), and the English word "say," reflecting our mission to empower students to express themselves and connect with others through the power of words and media.

We warmly welcome both Japanese and international students from all backgrounds to join our club. Whether you're looking to share your culture, learn something new, or simply connect with others, this is the perfect place to build skills and friendships across borders.

Currently, we have meetings every Wednesday from 6pm to 8pm.

What positions can students do?

• Research & Writing: Research and write about interesting things in Nagoya that are worth the trip and experience or student life in NUCB. Write Instagram posts/stories, scripts for videos, and help us find the “story” behind every content piece.
• Graphic design: You’ll create eye-catching visuals for our Instagram posts, stories, and club materials. Experience with Canva, Illustrator, or Procreate is preferred—but beginners are welcome!
• Video Editing: You’ll edit interview clips, create reels, or mini stories to post on our platforms. Experience with Capcut, iMovie, or Premier is preferred—but beginners are welcome!
• Photography/Videography: Take photos & videos of places, events, or student life moments. Your work will help us create promotional materials for the club.
• On Camera Presence: Be the face or voice of our videos! This includes hosting segments, interviewing students, or speaking directly to the camera with confidence and energy.
• Translation: Translate captions, subtitles, or any writing (EN⇄JP) and assist with interpretation when needed during interviews or discussions.
