Partnership with Johns Hopkins University: Fast-track to a Master’s Degree with 4+1 Study Program

In September 2024, Nagoya University of Commerce and Business (NUCB) established an exciting new partnership with Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. This partnership enables students graduating from NUCB’s Global BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) program to pursue a one-year master’s degree at Johns Hopkins University. Through this “4+1” pathway, students can complete four years of undergraduate study at NUCB and then transition to a one-year master’s program at Johns Hopkins, earning an internationally recognized master’s degree from this top-ranking institution.

50% Tuition Scholarship and Test Waivers

As part of this collaboration, qualifying NUCB students are eligible for a 50% tuition reduction scholarship when enrolling in the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School’s master’s program. This scholarship makes it more accessible for students to pursue an advanced international business education. Additionally, applicants meeting certain academic criteria can waive the GMAT requirement, and those who completed their undergraduate studies in English may also qualify for a TOEFL waiver.

The Global BBA Program at NUCB

NUCB’s Global BBA, the first of its kind at a private Japanese university, is home to 369 international students from 63 countries (as of September 2024). The program uses the case method, immersing students in real-world business scenarios to hone decision-making and problem-solving skills. With an emphasis on inquiry-based learning and international perspectives, the Global BBA program cultivates future global leaders equipped to make a meaningful impact on society.
