NUCB Sent 220 Students Abroad in 2024!

In 2024, NUCB sent 220 students abroad, marking a significant milestone in cultivating globally-minded individuals. Despite challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, which affected students' willingness to study overseas, our numbers have rebounded to pre-pandemic levels. Our programs go beyond traditional exchange opportunities, offering diverse international experiences such as language studies, volunteer initiatives, gap year solo travels in Europe, and internships in Southeast Asia. To further encourage participation, we provide financial support through travel subsidies, tuition-exemption scholarships, and comprehensive pre-departure training.

As of 2022, NUCB has been recognized as an official member of PIM (Partnership in International Management), a global network of leading business schools that includes Imperial College London, HEC Paris, Columbia University, and Tsinghua University. This membership allows our students to access exchange opportunities with 187 institutions across 63 countries. On campus, our community is enriched by a record 369 international undergraduate students from 63 countries and 151 graduate students from 45 countries, representing a total of 74 nations.

NUCB's Faculty of International Studies

The Faculty of International Studies comprises the Department of International Studies and the Department of Anglo-American Studies, both of which are designed to develop globally active human resources through experiential learning.

Department of International Studies

This department prepares students to excel in international business by developing their English communication skills for global business settings. Students gain hands-on experience through presentations, discussions, and participation in study abroad programs, equipping them to succeed both in Japan and abroad.

Department of Anglo-American Studies

In addition to advanced English language education, this department offers a deep dive into Asian cultures, history, and politics, with a particular focus on Korea, China, and Australia. Study abroad programs further enhance students’ international education, fostering practical skills such as foreign language proficiency and problem-solving abilities to thrive in a globalized world.

NUCB remains committed to fostering leaders who are not only capable of contributing to Japan's global presence but are also prepared to make a difference worldwide.
