Nowadays, there is much more interest in the opportunity to study in various countries to enrichen the undergraduate experience. NUCB is one of the few schools in Japan that have a network of world-class double degree partners that allow students to gain two bachelor's degrees within 4-years.


What is a Double Degree?

Double Degree, also known as “Dual Degree”, is an international joint education program carried out by two partner institutions located in two different countries. However, a dual degree should not be confused with a dual or double major. A double major in two areas of specialization or academic focus that results in only one degree, not two. Double Degree students only have to pay the tuition fees to their home university and are waived from paying such fees to the overseas host institution. NUCB also offers a unique scholarship where after meeting certain requirements, round trip economy class airfare will be paid.

Dual degrees can be a real advantage to those who want to pursue a degree where international experience is key, such as business, political science, economics, or finance. Students will also be able to expand their networks by interacting and exchanging ideas with students and professionals from various backgrounds.It will also showcase to future employers your ability to immerse yourself in a new culture, commitment to your studies, as well as the ability to adapt to alternative teaching styles. Living in another country will give you the chance to learn an additional language, such as French or Chinese Mandarin.
