Uichi Kajiyama, receives the Distinguished Alumni Award from Concordia University

NUCB's Band Advisor, Uichi Kajiyama, has received the Distinguished Alumni Award from Concordia University in Illinois, USA, his alma mater. His performance in the competition at NUCB was one of the reasons for his nomination, and the award ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 24 in the United States. The award ceremony will be streamed live.

Experienced leadership

Uichi Kajiyama (Conductor and Technical Advisor) graduated from Concordia University Chicago with a Bachelor of Music degree. In 1995 won the individual DCI (World Competition) and he has received the Best Percussion Award. Currently, while teaching at NUCB, Nagoya College of Music, and Aichi Institute of Technology Meiden High School, he also serves as a judge and instructor for international competitions in Europe, the U.S., and Asia.
