Rodrigo, 2nd year Global BBA student (from Mexico)

Our university offers international dormitories where both Japanese and international students reside - fostering an international community both on and off-campus where students can develop independence, a sense of responsibility, and diverse values.

Each dormitory is conveniently located for academic and club activities, allowing students to enjoy a safe and comfortable student life. We interviewed Rodrigo (Rigo), an international student from Mexico who lives in the Sambongi Campus dormitory.

Frontier Spirit

I chose NUCB after my high school teacher in Mexico introduced it to me after searching for AACSB accredited schools. When I researched the university, I decided to enroll in Global BBA because I empathized with the university's founding motto, "Frontier Spirit".

I enjoy the case method because it requires us to actively participate in the class, not just attend lectures, so the class is lively and we are able to learn from practical situations. My favorite class so far has been "International Management," and I enjoy learning how companies that are active in the world are developing.

Fully furnished International dormitory

The international dormitory is equipped with furniture and appliances, and my rent is subsidized by a scholarship making it very affordable. Although you will be living alone, you will be surrounded by your classmates and friends, so you will feel connected. My friends and I commute to school together and often go out together which strengthens our bond. I have made friends from all over the world which I am so happy for.

Unique Scholarship Program

NUCB has a unique student dormitory scholarship system as one of its student support programs. The scholarship is available to all students regardless if they are applying from within Japan or overseas, students can enter the dormitory from as low as 10,000 yen per month.
