Kosuke Shiraishi

Biography
Dr. Kosuke Shiraishi worked for the Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) from 2006 to 2023. At the JFTC, he was involved in the investigation on the Case of Violation of the Antimonopoly Act and law amendment. In parallel with his work at JFTC, he engaged in academic research on antitrust law, and in 2016, he completed the Graduate School of Business Sciences at the University of Tsukuba (Ph. D. in Law). His main research interest is the relationship between the enforcement of standard-essential patents (SEPs) and antitrust law, and he conducts comparative legal research.
