Job Hunting Experience at NUCB

At NUCB, students have access to unique programs not commonly found at other universities, such as volunteer activities in Europe and overseas internships in Southeast Asia. The opportunity to explore countries that are not easy to visit on our own, with the university's support, is very appealing. These programs are not just about traveling. During my internship in Thailand, I was able to experience the local culture while also learning a lot academically. I was especially impressed by how actively the university supports these programs, helping students develop a global perspective.

For job hunting, I focused on the airline industry. Since I was a child, I was fascinated by airports whenever I traveled. To me, an airport is not just a place to start a journey but a special space where people from different backgrounds come together and create memories. This experience gave me a clear goal from middle school—I wanted to work at an airport.

I used to struggle with speaking in front of people, but through the many group discussions and presentations included in my university courses, I gradually became more comfortable. Learning how to express my opinions, listen to others, and find common ground helped me gain confidence in speaking in front of large audiences. This was a huge advantage during job interviews. Even when faced with unexpected questions, I was able to stay calm, express my thoughts clearly, and respond logically without getting nervous. As a result, I successfully secured a job in my desired industry.

Message to Future Students

Don't put things off just because you feel it's "too late" or you're "not ready yet." Take action and challenge yourself. Even if you're not fully prepared, you'll learn a lot in the process of trying. Through these experiences, you'll discover areas where you need to improve and grow. It's natural to feel scared about trying something new, but if you never take the first step, you may regret it later. Even if you fail, that failure will become a stepping stone for growth. Building your own experiences and stories by taking on different challenges is important. In the end, only those who take action can seize new opportunities. Believe in yourself and take on as many challenges as possible!
