Language Exchange on Campus (Japan<>France)

#Language Exchange Program #SAC #International Students

The NUCB Language Exchange Program is one of the most popular on-campus activities in which international students from around the world and current students at our university teach each other languages. This program is open to all students, regardless of their faculty or grade, and is free of charge.

In the second semester of 2022, 56 groups are enjoying the Language Exchange. Here is an interview with one of the participating students, Ms. Moriya, a 2nd-year student in the Faculty of International Studies.

Making the most of the time in Japan

My language exchange partner is Alice from France. At the moment, her Japanese is beginner level, so we watch Japanese anime together to study Japanese. We also enjoy exchanging opinions about the differences in education and environment between Japan and France.

Alice and other international students recently went to Lalaport and Aichi Farm together. Since her exchange in Japan is for around 5-months, we talk about amking the most of the time in Japan.

Take the opportunity

I help my partner study English for her assignments and TOEIC exams. I would highly recommend this exchange program to other international students as it is easy to make Japanese friends with this opportunity.
