Prime Tree Akaike

The last station of the Tsurumai Line and the first station of the Meitetsu Toyota Line, Akaike is a growing area in the suburb of Nagoya city.
Conveniently located in the municipality of Nisshin, Akaike is only two stations away from Komenoki, the closest station from NUCB Campus.
Also reachable in about 25 minutes by bike from NUCB dormitories or by bus from the Campus, it is a prominent hangout place for many NUCB students.

The main attraction around Akaike station is the trendy Shopping Mall Prime Tree Akaike at 5 minutes by foot from the subway station.
Prime Tree offers a large variety of shops and restaurants, from groceries and clothing to households goods and souvenirs.
Toho Cinema on the top floor is open until 12:30 AM. They have an Attraction Theater MX4D and offer regular 3D screenings. Various events such as Gourmet features, voice actor meetings, workshops and concerts are frequently organised on the dedicated stage in the middle of the Mall. Popular with students and families alike, Prime tree is open from 10 AM to 9 PM every day and particularly busy on weekends when most of the special events are held.

Prime Tree is also notorious with onlookers for being the first commercial facility in Japan to introduce a humanoid robot to provide information to visitors. The robot on the first floor of the shopping area replies accurately to inquiries and can guide guests in four languages, including Japanese and English.
