Fall 2024 Welcome Party

On Wednesday, October 10, NUCB held its Fall Semester welcome party, bringing together new Global BBA and exchange students. This semester, the university welcomed 167 students—a record number for the program.
The party had a lively atmosphere, with many students wearing traditional clothing from their home countries, adding a cultural touch to the event. Several in-party activities took place throughout the evening, giving students the chance to meet and interact with one another.
A buffet featuring a variety of dishes, including sushi, pizza, and sandwich platters, was served to the guests. Halal and vegetarian options were also available to accommodate different dietary preferences.

Welcome Party Events
Speeches were given by both our Dean for External Relations, Dr. Kenji Yokoyama, and Liam (Switzerland/Philippines, Cebu International School) a student representative who joined the Global BBA program from Fall 2024. In addition, our Chancellor, Dr. Hiroyuki Kurimoto also made a special appearance for the evening.
In addition to the speeches, the night featured a series of engaging events. One of the highlights was a rock-paper-scissors competition, enthusiastically led by the Chancellor himself. Students were quick to join in, and the final 20 standing participants walked away with NUCB Undergraduate School t-shirts. Another activity that drew attention was the costume introduction, where students had the opportunity to showcase their culturally significant attire and share the stories behind them.
The evening proved to be a great success, giving students the chance to connect with faculty and peers in a relaxed setting. It set the tone for what promises to be an exciting semester, full of opportunities for interaction and cultural exchange.
