Cultural Enrichment Activities - Spring 2026 Local Elementary School Visit
On June 29, eight of our Global BBA and exchange students visited a local elementary school in Nisshin. The visit was part of a cultural exchange activity with sixth-grade students.
A Meaningful Afternoon of International Exchange at Ainoyama Elementary School
The program began with presentations by the NUCB students, who introduced their home countries through photographs and stories about everyday life, local traditions, famous landmarks, and popular foods. Many students challenged themselves to speak in Japanese during their presentations, while others added creative personal touches, helping to make each presentation unique and engaging.
The elementary school students listened attentively, eagerly asking questions and reacting with excitement as they discovered similarities and differences between countries. Their curiosity and enthusiasm led to plenty of smiles and lively conversations, making the session enjoyable for everyone involved.
The elementary school students listened with great interest, reacting with surprise and excitement when they saw beautiful landscapes, heard fun facts, or recognized the names of famous athletes. One lucky student even received a postcard from the international guests — a nice little souvenir to remember the day.
Sixth Graders Showcase Japan
Following the presentations, the sixth-grade students took the stage to introduce Japan from their own perspective. Through group presentations, songs, and English explanations, they shared aspects of Japanese culture, history, cuisine, and modern pop culture. Their confidence and willingness to communicate in English impressed our students, and the exchange naturally developed into an active question-and-answer session where both groups learned from one another.
As the visit drew to a close, the school gave our students a memorable farewell. During dismissal, children gathered to wave goodbye and wish everyone well, providing a fitting end to an afternoon built on friendship, curiosity, and mutual respect.
