Study tour to National Taiwan University of Science and Technology planned

During this study tour, approximately 20 students from our university will spend around one week in Taiwan (Taipei) in August, engaging in practical, English-language case-method classes at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, focusing on the business environment in Taiwan and Asian markets. In addition, visits to leading local companies and cross-cultural experiences are planned, providing an opportunity to deepen their understanding of Taiwanese society and corporate culture.It is hoped that students will develop their English communication skills and ability to adapt to different cultures within this international learning environment. Furthermore, by completing a report after the programme, students will organise and analyse the knowledge and insights gained on-site, thereby further deepening their understanding of Taiwanese business and culture.

National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan Tech) is one of our partner institutions and is one of Taiwan’s leading universities for science, technology and business, located in Taipei. Established in 1974, it is Taiwan’s first comprehensive technical university and offers practical, internationally oriented education. Backed by strong links with Taiwan’s industry, it is highly regarded across a wide range of fields, including engineering, information technology and management. Like our university, it holds accreditation from the international accreditation body AACSB and is recognized as one of Taiwan’s leading universities with a practical, industry-oriented focus.

Nagoya University of Commerce and Business, Faculty of International Studies

The Faculty of International Studies at our university comprises the Department of International Studies and the Department of English and American Studies, both of which aim to nurture individuals capable of thriving on the global stage through hands-on, experiential learning. We cultivate internationally-minded individuals who can understand diverse values whilst studying not only languages but also international business. In addition, we offer a wide range of study abroad programmes, including exchange programmes at partner universities overseas with tuition fee exemptions, as well as international volunteering and overseas internships.

The curriculum features numerous opportunities to practise using English effectively, including presentations and discussions. Furthermore, through study abroad programmes, we aim to develop graduates who are capable of thriving not only in Japan but across the globe.
