Local Contribution Activities ┃ Gifu Prefecture Higashishirakawa-mura International Volunteer Starts on August 6 (Monday) by accepting 15 foreign volunteers from 11 countries!

The 19th International Volunteer Work Camp in Higashishirakawa-mura, Gifu start!

10 days from August 6th to 15th, Nagoya University of Commerce “International Volunteer Circle” 10 students and 15 foreign volunteers are living together at the accommodation “Myojin Sanso” while staying at NPO in Higashishirakawa We will carry out a volunteer program prepared by the corporation "Aozora Mimon Juku".
Foreign volunteers are in 11 countries, including 2 in France, 2 in Russia, 2 in Mexico, 2 in Vietnam, 1 in Germany, 1 in Italy, 1 in Spain, 1 in Czech Republic, 1 in Indonesia, 1 in Taiwan, 1 in the Philippines. There are 15 people (5 men and 10 women).

Volunteer activities include "English village" for the purpose of interacting with Higashi Shirakawa elementary school students as a contribution to the local community, mainly for nursing homes, nursery schools, visits to Higashi Shirakawa village junior high school, campsites and nature experience fields. Workshops such as environmental maintenance, preparation and participation of local festivals. I am able to get to know each other immediately even when I meet them for the first time, and I am looking forward to future activities.
Nagoya University of Commerce expects that it will lead to wonderful memories and growth of local residents and young volunteers involved in the project.
