In the Intensive Education Program offered by the School of Commerce, Nagoya University of Commerce & Business (NUCB) provides high-quality, active learning through a carefully designed integration of the “Case Method” (learning through discussion) and the “Field Method” (learning through experience).

In the course “Theory and Practice of Communication,” students learned essential interview techniques—including structured and semi-structured interviews—necessary for producing corporate PR videos. They also studied consumer behavior, using examples such as the redesign of beverage packaging to explore how marketing initiatives influence consumer actions.

The knowledge and skills gained in “Theory and Practice of Communication” are directly applied to another concurrent course, “Field Practice,” where students work on actual PR video production. Through this interdisciplinary connection, the program maximizes student learning. The upcoming final presentation of the completed PR videos is highly anticipated.
