One such course, “Field Practice” taught by Professor Masahiko Kamekura, focuses on producing PR videos to promote local companies that sell regional specialties at Ghibli Park, which opened in November. The project was featured on NHK and aired on October 21, 2022, under the title:

“University Students Produce PR Videos to Promote Local Businesses at Ghibli Park” (NHK, October 21, 2022)

Intensive Education Program

The Intensive Education Program for second-year students in the School of Commerce provides hands-on, practical learning experiences. This year, students focused on creating corporate PR videos. Over a two-month intensive period (September–October), they studied subjects such as video production techniques, communication and interviewing skills, marketing strategies, and consumer behavior.

In the latter half of the course, students participated in internships with local companies, gaining valuable on-site experience that cannot be obtained in the classroom. By listening directly to the voices of company executives and conveying their messages through PR videos, the students contributed to enhancing the appeal and visibility of local businesses.
