Global BBA Orientation Fall 2025

A new semester has begun at NUCB, bringing with it students from around the world. To kick off the Fall 2025 term, the International Affairs team organized a three-day orientation held on September 8th, 9th, and 10th.
The program introduced students to life in Japan and at NUCB, with sessions designed to support both academic preparation and daily living. This fall, we are excited to welcome 190 new students, joining us as full-time degree candidates and exchange participants, representing 50 different countries.
Settling Into NUCB
The first day of orientation began with volunteers (both GBBA and Japanese students) guiding newcomers to the Nisshin Campus. Thanks to their support, everyone arrived smoothly and on time. The weather was slightly cooler, making it a pleasant start to the program.
Sessions introduced students to daily life in Japan and at NUCB, mixing practical information with pop-quizzes to keep everyone engaged. Students were also guided step by step through important administrative tasks, such as completing their address registration forms among other tasks.
Learning About Academics and the GBBA Program
The second day of orientation shifted the focus to academics and university life. Professor Frendy led an interactive session introducing the class format, academic rules, and the case method learning style used at NUCB. This gave students a clearer picture of what to expect in their courses and how to actively participate in discussions.
Later in the day, officers from the Aichi Police spoke about key rules, safety tips, and social norms in Japan. Earthquake preparedness was also discussed, which was especially valuable for students experiencing life in Japan for the first time.
A separate session was also held: full-time Global BBA students joined a briefing on their program and the opportunities available to them, while exchange students explored the campus through a guided tour. In addition, for the first time this fall, orientation extended into a third day exclusively for GBBA students, which included a dedicated campus tour and a routine health check-up.
