NEW #GBBA #exchange #留学

The start of a new semester at NUCB marks the arrival of students from across the globe. To begin the Spring 2026 semester, the International Affairs team hosted an orientation program for the new students.

This program was designed to help students adjust to both academic life and everyday living in Japan, offering guidance and practical information throughout. This semester, we are pleased to welcome 106 new students, including both full-time degree seekers and exchange participants.

Settling Into NUCB

The first day of orientation began with student volunteers—including both GBBA and Japanese students—welcoming newcomers and guiding them to the Nisshin Campus. Their support ensured that all participants arrived smoothly and on schedule.

The morning sessions focused on introducing students to daily life in Japan and at NUCB. These sessions combined essential practical information with interactive elements, such as short quizzes, to maintain engagement and encourage participation. Students were also guided step by step through key administrative procedures, including completing address registration forms and other necessary documentation, helping to ensure a smooth transition into their new environment.

In addition, International Affairs delivered a detailed overview of the various events and programs planned for the semester. These include a range of cultural activities designed to help students experience Japan more deeply and connect with others on campus.

Following the sessions, students participated in a campus tour, allowing them to familiarize themselves with important facilities and get a better sense of campus life.

Throughout the day, students showed strong interest in the program, actively asking questions and engaging with the content. Overall, the first day of orientation was a success, providing a supportive and informative introduction to life at NUCB.

Academic Information and Guide To Global BBA Program

The second day of orientation placed a strong emphasis on academics, offering participants a deeper understanding of what to expect during their time at NUCB. The morning began with an engaging session led by Professor TaeSeok Kim, who introduced the university’s class structure, academic policies, and the case method approach to learning. Through interactive discussion, students gained valuable insight into how classes are conducted and the importance of active participation in shaping their academic experience.

In the afternoon, representatives from the Aichi Prefectural Police delivered a practical and informative session covering essential rules, safety guidelines, and social expectations in Japan.

Additionally, full-time Global BBA students attended a dedicated briefing focused on their specific program. This session highlighted key academic pathways and introduced the range of opportunities available to them throughout their studies.

Overall, the orientation days were a success, equipping students with the knowledge, confidence, and support needed to begin their academic journey and settle smoothly into life at NUCB.
