Study Tour to Seoul National University (SNU) in South Korea

NEW #International Studies

A study tour was conducted from 4-8 August 2025 to Seoul, South Korea. This study tour was implemented in collaboration with our overseas partner institution, Seoul National University (SNU). During their one-week stay, nine students from the International Studies Department were able to experience dormitory life on the SNU campus. The students also attended classes on Korean culture, interacted with SNU students, conducted research activities, and experienced different cultures. This study tour was designed to work in tandem with their classes and assignments at NUCB to help students deepen their cultural understanding.

Classes and cultural exchanges with SNU students

The participating students took classes on Korean culture. Their understanding of South Korea was further deepened through cultural activities such as calligraphy sessions and interviews conducted with SNU students.

Seoul National University (SNU)

Established in 1946, Seoul National University is South Korea's first national comprehensive university. The university, alongside Korea University and Yonsei University, is known collectively as SKY. It is considered one of Korea's most selective universities. It is ranked 38th in the QS World University Rankings 2025 and, like our university, holds accreditation from the internationally recognized AACSB. Many of its graduates are active in the business and political spheres.

On-site campus tours were conducted, allowing students to explore the university's well-equipped facilities, with buildings specialized for various academic fields and the university library.

Fieldwork

Participating students also conducted fieldwork on their respective research topics. As part of this fieldwork, they visited historical sites such as the Gyeongbokgung Palace and various museums.
