Announcement on the Matriculation Ceremony of April 2020

After careful evaluation of the current situation related to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Nagoya University of Commerce & Business has regretfully decided to suspend the Graduation Ceremony of March 2020.

We sincerely believe that the Graduation Ceremony is an important milestone in the life of students, their families and friends, and for Faculty and Administrative Staff as well. However, this onerous decision was deemed necessary considering the safety and health of all the attendees, and to help prevent further spread of the infection. It is truly unfortunate for the graduating classes, their friends and families who have been waiting for this special occasion; nevertheless, we hope that you will understand the weight of the circumstances and the resulting decision.
For the graduating classes of March 2020, we would like to inform you that you are all kindly invited to participate in the Graduation Ceremony of March 2021 and we wholeheartedly hope to see you then.
Regarding your diploma, please note that we will post all the details on the students’ Campus Bulletin Board and our website upon conferring during the Professors’ Meeting of March 11th, 2020.

Furthermore, we are currently contemplating whether or not to hold the Matriculation Ceremony of April 2020. We would like to kindly ask you to regularly check our website as the information will be updated as soon as a decision is taken in regards to this event.

I am very grateful for your kind understanding and patience.
