Fall semester of AY2020

#Fall Semester #Blended Learning

In light of the global pandemic, NUCB Undergraduate School began the academic year on April 6th with online, live and interactive courses and the Spring semester (Term 1 & 2) came to a successful end with all the final exams having finished smoothly on July 31st.

For the Fall semester (Term 3 & 4), NUCB Undergraduate School has decided to implement a ‘blended’ format, integrating our online, live and interactive courses in the curriculum while the traditional on-site courses are also kept to a certain degree. For our Global BBA program, Term 3 will be delivered online with a special elective course conducted on our Nisshin / Nagakute campus; and we hope to be back on-campus for Term 4. Meanwhile, for our Japanese-taught programs, all courses with a large number of students will be delivered online while the courses conducted on campus will be seminars and smaller classes with a reduced number of students.

However, the number of COVID-19 cases has been rising recently in Aichi Prefecture (and in the whole country) and young generations are particularly the ones being infected, making it an important issue to be carefully evaluated. As such, in consideration of everyone's safety and health, to swiftly adjust ourselves to the situation and to the Government's requests, there is a probably that further changes may be made to how the courses will be delivered, such as increasing further the ratio of online courses. Therefore, please make sure our website and Campus Bulletin Board as announcements will be made regularly.

To respond swiftly to the changes in the future, we will expand the online studios and renovate classroom facilities during the summer break. We understand that students are all looking forward to returning to the campus and we would like to thank you very much for your kind understanding of the current circumstances.
