Graduation Ceremony for Class of September 2024
On Saturday, September 28th, a graduation ceremony was held at the Nisshin Campus of Nagoya University of Commerce and Business (NUCB) for 40 students graduating in September 2024. The Global BBA program, which graduated its first cohort in September 2022, celebrated the graduation of nine international students this year, bringing the total number of graduates to 53.
The ceremony, marking the culmination of four years of academic effort, was conducted solemnly. Family members and faculty gathered to joyfully celebrate the students as they embark on their next chapter.
The ceremony began with Professor Yuji Ono, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, presenting diplomas to each of the graduates. Following this, Professor Yokoyama, Dean of the Business School, delivered a congratulatory address.
At NUCB, we sincerely hope that all our graduates, armed with the university’s `Frontier Spirit`, will thrive in their respective fields.
Global BBA Program
As the first private university in Japan to establish an integrated undergraduate program across three faculties—Economics, Business Administration, and Commerce—NUCB offers the Global BBA, a bachelor’s degree program taught entirely in English. As of September 2024, 369 international students from 63 countries are enrolled in the program. This diverse learning environment offers students the experience of studying abroad without leaving Japan.
The Global BBA program uses the case method, where students simulate real-world business decision-making. This international and inquiry-based learning experience aims to equip students with the skills to propose innovative solutions to societal challenges and become global leaders.
