Cultural Enrichment Activities - Spring 2025 Local Elementary School Visit
On June 27, eight of our Global BBA and exchange students visited a local elementary school in Nisshin. The visit was part of a cultural exchange activity with sixth-grade students.
Warm Welcome and Student Presentations
We were warmly welcomed by the principal, vice principal, teachers, and of course, the students. Each international student gave a presentation using slides they had prepared, introducing aspects of their culture, geography, food, and more. One of the students dressed in colors inspired by their national flag, adding a personal touch to their presentation. Many had also practiced Japanese in advance to communicate more smoothly.

The elementary school students listened with great interest, reacting with surprise and excitement when they saw beautiful landscapes, heard fun facts, or recognized the names of famous athletes. One lucky student even received a postcard from the international guests — a nice little souvenir to remember the day.
Discovering Japan with the Sixth Graders
After the presentations, the elementary students also shared about Japan through songs and group presentations. Topics included traditional culture, food, history, and anime, and many students made an effort to present in English. The Q&A session that followed was lively, with lots of questions and interaction on both sides.

As the visit came to an end, we were given a warm send-off during the school’s dismissal time, with students lining up to wave goodbye, making the farewell feel extra special.
It was a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon of learning and connecting across cultures and ages. We appreciate the kind welcome from the school and the opportunity for this meaningful exchange.
