GBBA Students Selected for JASSO Scholarship

This fall, 8 Global BBA students were selected for the JASSO Honors Scholarship. Congratulations to Aung (Myanmar), Nicole (Philippines), Neola (Indonesia), Jennifer (Indonesia), Liam (Philippines), Jacqueline (Indonesia), Mahte (USA), and Harry (UK) for this achievement!

The Monbukagakusho Honors Scholarship for Privately-Financed International Students aims to support privately-financed international students with outstanding academic and personal achievements, particularly those facing financial constraints.


Scholarship Recipients (Fall 2024)


Key Scholarship Details:

Scholarship Period: October 2024 to March 2025 (6 months)
Total Amount: ¥288,000 JPY (¥48,000 JPY x 6)

This scholarship not only acknowledges academic prowess but also commendable character traits, making it an excellent opportunity to further your academic pursuits without financial worries.

Who is eligible?

To be considered for this scholarship, candidates must meet the following criteria:

・Students who applied from overseas before entering the university (Reservation Program)
・Being a role model for other students
・Have the immigration status of "Student" throughout the benefit period
・Maintain a GPA of 2.3 or more and an attendance rate during the benefit period as determined by JASSO
・Have language proficiency in either Japanese or English as specified:
 ・Japanese Proficiency: Passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N2 level or higher, or scored 200 points or more on the Japanese subjects (Reading, Listening, and Listening Comprehension) of the Examination for Japanese Universities (EJU) conducted by JASSO
 ・English Proficiency: Those who are recognized to be B2 or higher in CEFR.
・Allowance (excluding enrollment fee, tuition fee, etc.) received by the candidate must not exceed an average of 90,000 yen per month.
・If the student has a financial supporter in Japan, his/her annual income must be less than 5 million yen.
