Fall 2025 Welcome Party

NUCB marked the start of the Fall 2025 semester with a welcome party on Wednesday, September 24, celebrating the arrival of 190 Global BBA and exchange students—the largest intake in the program’s history.

The evening showcased the diversity of the student body, as many came dressed in clothing representing their home countries. The mix of traditions, conversations, and activities created a vibrant space for students meeting each other for the first time.

Food was another highlight of the night. Sushi and pizza were served to the crowd, along with halal and vegetarian options to ensure everyone could enjoy the meal together.

Welcoming Our Global Community

The evening kicked off with welcoming speeches from Dr. Kenji Yokoyama, Dean for External Relations, and Dr. Sangheon Han, Management Director, who expressed their excitement for the new semester and encouraged students to take full advantage of the opportunities at NUCB. Adding to the warmth of the event, Chancellor Dr. Hiroyuki Kurimoto also gave a speech, sharing words of encouragement.

The main attraction of the evening was the cultural costume introductions. Students enthusiastically presented traditional attire from their home countries, explaining the cultural significance and personal stories behind each outfit. The atmosphere was lively and cheerful, with students clapping, cheering, and engaging with one another as each participant took the stage. Many attendees enjoyed seeing such a diverse display of cultures gathered in one place.

In addition to the costume showcase, the evening provided ample opportunities for students to mingle with faculty and peers, fostering new friendships and connections. The night concluded with a final group photo, capturing the diversity and enthusiasm of the students and staff in attendance. The welcome party set a positive and inclusive tone for the Fall 2025 semester, promising a term full of learning, cultural exchange, and memorable experiences.
