August Open Campus Report

Our August Open Campus was held over the past weekend, and many high school students and parents from all over the country came to the event, making it a great success.

We offered a wide range of content, including case method experience classes, a special lecture for parents, a school cafeteria lunch experience, and a campus tour. Here is a review of today's Open Campus with photos.

Case Method Experience Class

  • Faculty of Economics, Professor Kitamura

    Participants actively discussed whether or not they would go on a trip with their friends after the pandemic. With a lively debate, attendees were able to realize the qualities of the case method and the attributes they would gain for their soft skills.

  • Faculty of Management, Dean Han

    Today, society continues to change dramatically every day, and human activities are converted into data. Visualizing complex socio-economic phenomena makes decision-making easier. In the case of the Titanic sinking, the participants made statements for corporate reconstruction.

  • Faculty of International Studies, Professor Isono

    A hands-on class on "thinking about Japanese and English from the perspective of gender." By reading cases and discussing the inequalities hidden in the words we use casually, participants were able to experience the learning of thinking from the perspective of socially and culturally formed gender.

NUCB's Unique Appeal

  • Special Lecture for Parents

    Chancellor Dr. Kurimoto and Dean of External Relations Dr. Yokoyama (former Vice President of Ritsumeikan APU) gave a special lecture on the accreditations achieved at NUCB (The only triple crown school in Japan; AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA) and the world-standard of education at our school.

  • Interview and Essay Preparation

    Admissions Officer of NUCB explained the major points that should be included in the essays as well as tips for interview providing effective exam preparation for the students who attended the Open Campus.

  • Student Support Guidance

    We introduced our scholarship programs, student support - such as our international dormitories, and employment guidance. Fourth-year students who received a job offer from the listed company NHK Spring Co., Ltd. gave presentations on campus life, their experiences studying abroad and volunteering, and their job-hunting efforts.

  • Study Abroad System and Study Abroad Experiences

    NUCB Undergraduate School students are strongly encouraged to make the best out of the school's global network by on exchange at one of our partner schools around the world.

  • Mock Interview

    Admissions Officers gave mock interview preparation for students considering applying to NUCB. After the mock interview, students were given invaluable feedback for their future interviews.

  • Campus Tour

    Student volunteers gave a tour of the Nisshin Campus, the largest private campus in Aichi prefecture, with visitors enjoying the spectacular surrounding nature.
