Spring Open Campus Report

#OC #Open Campus

On April 15th, we organized our Spring Open Campus in both Nisshin and Nagoya campuses.

The event featured case method classes led by renowned faculty members, explanations of diverse support systems, and presentations showcasing the experiences of current students. The program attracted numerous high school students and parents from different parts of Japan, who got a chance to discover more about the university and its offerings.

We're excited to share some highlights from the day below.

Nisshin Campus

  • Case Method Class Experience

Prof. Dazai and Prof. Isono conducted a case method class and although the attendees were initially apprehensive, the teachers' questioning and the opportunity to exchange ideas quickly put them at ease. As the class progressed, participants became more involved, eagerly raising their hands to contribute their opinions, resulting in a lively exchange of ideas.

  • Individual Consultation

At the individual consultation booth, participants posed a broad spectrum of questions, encompassing topics such as the entrance exam system, study abroad opportunities, school life, student dormitories, scholarships, and qualifications. With the option to speak with designated representatives one-on-one, participants were able to address their concerns and clear up any uncertainties.

  • Club Visits

In addition to the campus tour, a club tour was also arranged, allowing participants to visit the club of their choice and see the facilities and practices in action. The club tour was led by current students providing an insider's perspective on the university experience. During the tour, the brass band club put on a performance for the attendees.

Nagoya Campus

  • Case Method Experience Class

Prof. Han's class had a unique theme of "If I was on the Titanic...". With society rapidly evolving, and human activities being translated into data, visualizing complex socio-economic phenomena has become crucial for informed decision-making. In this class, participants were tasked with reliving the experience of a member of society and providing feedback towards corporate reconstruction.

  • Admissions Guidance

During the event, an explanation on the 2024 entrance examination was presented, providing attendees with a first-hand look at requirements. Participants were fully engaged in the presentation, attentively taking notes on the entrance examination system details that piqued their interest.

  • Campus Tour

The tour included a visit to the campus's large classrooms, specially designed for case method classes, which is one of the university's most distinguished features. After visiting the classroom and group room, participants expressed their admiration, with comments such as "The facilities are amazing!" highlighting the state-of-the-art infrastructure and learning environments offered by the university.
