Naoki (Japan/Vietnam) ABC International School
We interviewed Naoki who joined the Global BBA Program in Fall 2020 after taking his A-Levels at an international school in Vietnam. Naoki holds dual nationality with Japan and Vietnam, but spent most of his life in Vietnam, only occasionally visiting Japan for trips with his family.
Why did you choose Japan to further your studies?
Japan is well known for its great educational system, and studying here is a huge opportunity to learn more about business in-depth. I also want to experience Japans culture and travel around the country outside of my studies.
What do you most enjoy about NUCB?
I think the diversity of students and faculty is one of the best aspects of NUCB. I enjoy opportunities to meet people from all over the world and grow my network. I also enjoy the fact that the student and faculty bodies are very close.
What has been your favorite class so far?
My favorite class has been Financial Management as it was very informative. Using real life examples with the Case Study method, we learnt how companies used financial instruments effectively. This class has inspired me to learn more about the financial aspect of business and has given me inspiration for my future.
What are your plans for the future?
I am considering an overseas exchange in 2023 with one of NUCB's partner schools because I want to travel and
experience other countries. Japan has given me great insights into how businesses in Japan operate, but I want to be more diverse and be open to all opportunities.
