Exchange Program

Claude, Exchange to Zagreb School of Economics and Management in Croatia

NEW

Claude (Japan)

Claude, a second-year Global BBA student, started an exchange program this month. He is studying at Zagreb School of Economics and Management in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, a country known for its Adriatic Sea. We spoke with him about why he joined the exchange program and what he hopes to accomplish during his time there.

Why did you decide to participate in the exchange program?

When I did my internship in India through NUCB's overseas internship program (CAPI), I gained a deeper appreciation for the importance of data analysis. I especially realized the need to identify root causes using numerical data and develop logical solutions. Even in case discussions, I found that arguments supported by numbers were more persuasive and played a key role in decision-making. To further develop these skills, I decided to join an exchange program at Zagreb School of Economics and Management.

What do you hope to accomplish during your exchange?

Zagreb School of Economics and Management offers a wide range of courses that integrate business mathematics into economics. Additionally, many classes focus on developing an international perspective, such as Entrepreneurship, Global Development and Startups, etc. By taking these courses, I hope to not only enhance my data analysis skills but also expand my future career opportunities. This exchange program is a good chance to deepen my practical knowledge and gain a broader understanding of the European business environment.

Another great benefit is the support provided by the Erasmus Scholarship. Living in Croatia, I want to embrace new perspectives—not only academically but also through its culture and natural landscapes. I am especially excited to visit the Old Town of Dubrovnik, known as the 'Pearl of the Adriatic,' and Plitvice Lakes National Park, famous for its beautiful scenery.

Through this exchange program, I aim to expand my learning experience and grow as a person by immersing myself in a new environment. I want to make the most of my past experiences while taking on new challenges and stepping outside my comfort zone.
