Naima (Indonesia) Mentari Intercultural School Bintaro

Please introduce yourself

I’m Naima from Indonesia, and I’m a second-year student at NUCB Undergraduate School.

What is your impression of the Case Study Method? Did you have any experience at high school with this style?

At first, the case study method felt intimidating because it was so different from the lecture-style classes I was used to in high school. But after two years, I’ve grown more confident and now look forward to the challenges it brings.

How will the case method / NUCB network help you for your future?

The case method helps with quick critical thinking and time management. Most classes are fast-paced, so it trains us to think on our feet. We can do this much better if we prepare well. I think these skills—and the confidence it has given me—will be useful in my future.

Are you working part-time or planning to?

Since I’ve gained a few internship experiences, I’m looking forward to working part-time, as it will help me understand how the part-time system in Japan works and improve my Japanese language skills over time.

Are you part of any clubs or language exchange?

I’m in the Women’s Volleyball Club and the NUCB Student Publications Club (also known as がくSAY!). I really enjoy the volleyball club—it’s beginner-friendly and the members are very supportive. がくSAY! is still a fairly new club, but things are going well, and we’re excited to upload more content soon. Stay tuned!
