Please introduce yourself
My name is Célestin. I was born in France, but spent most of my childhood in China and later in Japan. I enrolled in the Global BBA program at NUCB in September 2022, and I’m currently a third-year student.
What is your impression of the Case Study Method? Did you have any experience in high school with this style?
My first impression of the Case Study Method was that it really stood out. I had never experienced it before NUCB, and quickly realized that watching videos online is nothing like being in the classroom. The dynamic, diverse discussions—shaped by everyone's values and experiences—have really impacted how I learn, helping me connect the material to both academics and my own cultural background.
How will the case method / NUCB network help you in the future?
As mentioned earlier, learning about different cultures and values through the case method has been eye-opening. The discussions help develop key skills like critical thinking, public speaking, and active listening—essential in any career. NUCB’s global network of students and alumni is also a great resource for future opportunities and staying connected internationally.
What do you think of the diversity of NUCB?
I think the diversity at NUCB is one of its strongest points. You meet people worldwide, each bringing different perspectives, experiences, and ways of thinking. It creates a unique learning environment where discussions are more enriching and you’re constantly exposed to new ideas. It also helps you become more adaptable and culturally aware, which is something I value.
Do you have any advice for those considering NUCB?
For those considering NUCB—if you're worried about speaking up in class, don’t be. With support from professors and peers, your communication skills will naturally improve. The environment is very encouraging, and you'll gain confidence over time. Every answer has value.
