Please introduce yourself

My name is Ko ko, currently a 2nd-year GBBA student at NUCB. I’m from Myanmar.

Why did you want to study in Japan?

I chose Japan because its culture and lifestyle have always inspired me. The people here are respectful and hardworking, and I wanted to challenge myself in such an environment.

Where did you first hear of NUCB? What made you choose the Global BBA Program? How was the application process?

I first heard about NUCB when I was searching online for international business programs in Japan. The Global BBA program really stood out because it’s taught in English and brings together students from all over the world. I liked how it focuses on active learning and real discussion instead of just lectures. The application process was also very smooth and supportive — everything was easy to follow, and it really made me feel welcomed from the start.

What is your impression of the Case Study Method? Did you have any experience at high school with this style?

The Case Study Method was totally new to me because we don’t have this style of learning in Myanmar. At first, it was a bit challenging, but I really enjoy it now. It’s interactive, and it helps me think critically and share my own ideas — not just memorize things like in high school.

How will the case method / NUCB network help you for your future?

The case method and NUCB network really help me prepare for my future career in Japan. Discussing real business cases improves my communication and problem-solving skills, which
are important in any company. And through the NUCB network, I can meet professionals and classmates who can inspire and support my journey here in Japan.
