Hey! I’m Nhu from Da Nang City, Vietnam. I’m a first-year student in the Global BBA program here at NUCB.
Why did you want to study in Japan?
I’ve admired Japan for a long time. It’s a special place where tradition and technology blend so well. I wanted to experience that balance myself and live somewhere that would challenge me not only in my studies, but in daily life too. Japan felt like the right place to grow, learn, and discover what I’m truly capable of.
Where did you first hear of NUCB? What made you choose the Global BBA Program? How was the application process?
I found NUCB while looking for international business programs in Japan. The Case Study Method immediately caught my eye because it was so different from what I was used to. The application process was smooth, and although I was nervous before the interview, the interviewer was kind and made me feel at ease.
Are you taking Japanese lessons — how is your language coming on?
Yes! I’m currently taking the Advanced Japanese Course, and it’s been a great experience. The teacher is very supportive and always encourages us to practice. I’ve improved not only my grammar and vocabulary but also my confidence in speaking. We also study case discussions in Japanese, which is challenging but very interesting.
Are you working part-time or planning to?
Yes, I’m currently working part-time at a 7-Eleven convenience store. It has taught me a lot about Japanese communication culture, such as how to greet customers properly and respond politely in different situations. It has also helped me improve my listening and speaking skills in Japanese.
