What is your impression of the Case Study Method?

I never experienced the Case Study method before and I was excited to learn more about it. Professors give us descriptions of businesses in the industry and it is often based on real events and companies which is different to lectures and exam based systems.

What do you do in your free time before/after class and on weekends?

Since I’m a first year student, all my courses are morning classes from 09:20 - 12:50, so after lunch I am free for the rest of the day.

In the afternoon I prepare for cases for the following day and at the nighttime i enjoy spending my time exploring the downtown area of Nagoya “Sakae”. I also love the cultural and street food area of “Fushimi” as it has a lot to offer.

How would you describe the student life?

Student life at NUCB is very international. Every student is from a different country, and it brings a very diverse environment to the classroom. NUCB also offers a wide variety of clubs and programs for students to enroll in and enjoy.

What dormitory are you in, what do you think of it?

I am currently staying in the International Dormitory MEITO. My room is small but comfy, fitting my bed, desk, wardrobe, kitchen, and the bathroom. As it’s a small studio, I live alone with no roommates, but I have made friends in my dorm from different rooms and its very fun.

Do you have any advice for those considering NUCB?

Look into the campus life and facilities to see if they suit your needs. Talk to current or past students to get their thoughts and experiences. Consider factors like location, cost, and opportunities for internships or job placements.
