Please introduce yourself
My name is Aizere. I am from Kazakhstan and I am 2nd year Global BBA student in NUCB.
You transferred to NUCB after spending 1 year as an exchange student here. What aspects of NUCB made you want to transfer?
I decided to transfer to NUCB because I was deeply impressed by the quality of education during my exchange year. Additionally, I have always been passionate about studying Japanese, a language and culture I've been fascinated with since I was 15, after reading the works of renowned authors like Akutagawa and Murakami. The cultural diversity at NUCB, where I formed strong friendships with international students. Within just one year, I knew this was where I wanted to continue my education.
What do you do in your free time before/after class and on weekends?
I usually spend my free time studying Japanese with exchange partners, which helps me improve my language skills in a supportive environment. Additionally, I enjoy playing tennis with my friends on campus, which is a great way to stay active and unwind.
You mentioned that you are opening a chess club. Tell me your motivation to do so and how was the experience of founding your own club.
I established the chess club out of a strong passion for the game, sparked by a GBBA student who taught me how to play chess. I noticed that many NUCB students share a talent and enthusiasm for chess, so I wanted to create a space for us to develop our skills together. As someone with leadership aspirations, I saw this as an opportunity to build a community around our shared interest. Starting the club has been rewarding, helping me connect with others and enhance campus life at NUCB.
Are you thinking of doing an exchange, double degree or internship?
Yes, I am actively looking for internships. I believe that gaining more practical experience while studying at NUCB will significantly increase my chances of securing a great job after graduation. Combining my education with real-world experience is a top priority for me.
Do you have any advice for those considering NUCB?
I would highly recommend NUCB to anyone considering it. The university provides countless opportunities to develop your leadership skills and discover new talents. Whether it's through academic courses, extracurricular activities, or networking with students from all over the world, NUCB offers a rich environment for personal and professional growth. It's a place where you can truly unlock your potential and shape your future.
