Why did you want to study in Japan specifically?

国旗

スロバキア

First of all Japan interested me because of their rich history and culture. And also because it is one of the biggest economies in the world and I guess knowing how to deal with Japanese people in the business is important because you have different culture and different values. So I really welcome the opportunity to come here and get the hands on experience how the Japanese, for example how they negotiate, how they work, how they communicate what is the hierarchy here and so on. And I also wanted to develop my language. Because I am interested in learning Japanese.

How is the difference is between your country and NUCB in Japan?

I think here compare to Norway, we solve more case studies than reading the research articles. So it’s more focused towards the practical aspect of business than the theoretical stuff that we have the background in Norway. It’s more aimed for how we do business in real life in everyday operations and the big strategic decisions.

Which class is the most impressive, and why?

It was the class about the international entrepreneurship taught by Professor Nagasawa. I really liked the fact that we were using interesting cases to see what are the challenges for the entrepreneurs all around the world can be. And we were really encouraged to have a discussion, a strong discussion and lots of arguments and I think Professor Nagasawa really knows how to initiate the discussion within the class so that was why I liked it.
